July 4th Weekend
at the Casa Via Mar Inn & Tennis Club
Thursday through Sunday, JULY 2nd through 5th
This is our TWENTY-FIFTH (24TH) Annual FOURTH OF JULY — T-N-T TRIP! Again this
year, TNT and Balboa Ski and Sports
Club will be running the trip with the Balboa Ski & Sports Club (BSSC). We are
offering a 3 NITE/4 DAY Trip to the Casa
Via Mar Inn & Tennis Club in Port Hueneme. This is a lovely facility on Channel
Island Blvd., approximately 1 mile from the
beach. By running this trip in conjunction with the BSSC, there will be more
folks to play tennis and party. The last five years
were all a great success.
The facility has SIX well-maintained tennis courts near our rooms. We will have
a minimum of 4 courts all the time we are there.
Also next to the tennis courts are a heated pool and Jacuzzi!! Since this
facility is so close to the ocean, the weather in early
July should be warm, but certainly not hot!! The Inn has new carpets, new
pictures, and a new phone system this year.
The Inn provides light snacks plus Wine, Beer, and Cocktails ($1.00) each
evening and an EXCELLENT Breakfast (FREE)
served in the PARTY ROOM each morning. T-N-T will have Open Tennis on Thursday
(July 2nd), for those who arrive early.
The Tournament will be played on Friday and Saturday mornings. “Match Play” on
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
for those so desiring, and courts permitting! BEAUTIFUL TROPHIES will be AWARDED
the LUCKY (?) WINNERS.
T-N-T will have reservations for dinner on Thursday and Friday Nights for
those who wish to dine with us. Saturday night is the
4th of July, and traffic will be impossible, so you will be on your own. One
night we will eat at the Embassy Suites Mandlay
Bay, with a live band for dancing after dinner. They provide an excellent
buffet, at a very reasonable price. For those with
other plans, a map will be provided listing the excellent restaurants in the
area.
It sounds like this trip with COCKTAILS, BREAKFASTS, GREAT TENNIS,
TOURNAMENTS, TROPHIES, and WILD TIMES
would cost a SMALL FORTUNE! AND IT DOES!!! For those of you who WISH to share
accommodations, this FABULOUS 3
NITE/4 DAY TRIP will SET YOU BACK $177 each. If you would prefer to RESIDE by
yourself, you will be FORCED TO PAY
$315 for the same Grand Accommodations. SAME PRICES as last year.
