Mammoth Trips
All trips are 3 days departing from Newport Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. We leave the mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday for the return trip. Trip fees include bus,, Saturday night meal, 3 nights lodging and optional daily bus to the mountain. We party on the way up and wind down on the way back. Most trips include movies on the bus both  up and back. The Balboa Ski Club includes skiers of all levels from novice to expert. It includes non-racers and racers. Most  trip dates revolve around the Schusski race schedule.  Racing is fun for ALL levels of skiing and a great way to to improve your abilities. Non-members are welcome to join our Mammoth weekends for a modest fee used toward your membership. Command Performance Sports in Mammoth gives our members a 20% discount. The 2009 - 2010 Mammoth Mountain ski trip dates, cost and condos will be posted by early September. All of the dates are Schusski race weekends. Last season we stayed at the SnoFlower condos. The cost was $325 per person last year.  Non members are charged a $25 guest fee which can be applied to their membership fees if they join the club. Christy Walchi is the Director of Mammoth trips this year. She will be your contact to sign-up for a trip. HOWEVER, Mammoth Mountain is offering a 5% discount on lift tickets purchased 14 days in advance. Ticket prices and multi day discounts are shown on the Mammoth Mountain ticket web page. Advance tickets may also be purchased  by telephone (800-MAMMOTH). Major Trips
We host several  major ski trips a year.  Attending these trips requires advance sign-ups and a deposit to hold your reservation.  Requirements and deposits vary depending on the trip, so check them out and sign up early.  You must be a member of the club for major trips. Read our major trip cancellation policy. Please note that major ski trip Airline and Ground prices may still be subject to increases even though prices are listed on the flyers.
